Send a note to a vendor

PayMaker offers the option to send notes to vendors you are connected to via the Bill.com Network, as a general note, or even on a specific bill.

General message for vendor

  1. Click Vendors in the left navigation menu
  2. Click the vendor's name
  3. Click Notes
  4. Enter the message in the "Start writing your note here" section
  5. Click the toggle next to "Visible to vendor"
  6. Click Save

Adding a Note to a specific bill

  1. Click Bills in the left navigation menu
  2. Click the Bill #
  3. Click Add Notes on the top right, above the Bill Summary section
  4. Click the toggle next to "Make this note visible to vendor"
  5. Click Save

Things to know

  • If the "Visible to vendor" option is not selected, messages left in the Vendor profile and on Bills will be visible only to other PayMaker users who work in the account and can view Bills
  • If a vendor leaves a note, users with manage bill permissions will receive an email notification
  • You can click reply in the email from the vendor to be taken directly to the note in PayMaker
  • The "Visible to vendor" option will not appear on vendors not connected through the network
