Sync and the different versions of QuickBooks

PayMaker integrates with QuickBooks for Windows 2014 or later (Pro/Premier/Enterprise), and QuickBooks Online Essentials or Plus.

We currently do not support a direct integration with QuickBooks for Mac. If using QuickBooks for Mac, use our Import/Export feature.

QuickBooks versions

PayMaker integrates with the following versions of QuickBooks ONLY:

  • QuickBooks Desktop, Pro, Premier (all versions, including contractor edition)
  • QuickBooks Enterprise (all versions)
  • QuickBooks Online Essentials or Plus
    • Please visit the QuickBooks Online Feature Comparison Chart to determine the subscription needed to sync with PayMaker, based on features available, as some features available in PayMaker are not supported by the QuickBooks Online Essentials subscription (i.e. class tracking, billable expenses, etc.)

Things to know

QuickBooks Online has a Simple Start version of their accouting software. Neither the free version or paid version ($99) of Simple Start have the ability to integrate with PayMaker.
