Why the Sync Error occurs

This error occurs when the sync cannot complete due to the QuickBooks Online account being inaccessible due to permissions issues or an issue with the QuickBooks Online account subscription.

How to Fix the Sync Error

Verify that the correct user has set up the sync by disconnecting and reconnecting using the QuickBooks Online Master Administrator's login credentials:

  1. Log in to PayMaker
  2. Click Settings
  3. Under Sync, click Setup
  4. Click Disconnect
  5. Clear your browser cookies and temporary internet files
  6. Click the Settings
  7. Under Sync, click Setup
  8. Click Connect with QuickBooks

In the popup window:

  • If the QuickBooks Online Master Administrator is setting up the sync and are logged in to QuickBooks Online in the same browser as this PayMaker Sync setup, complete the setup
  • If another user is setting up the sync, that user enters the QuickBooks Online Master Admin login credentials when prompted to log into QuickBooks Online/Intuit

If the error continues after reconnecting the sync with the current QuickBooks Online Master Admin login information, contact Intuit Customer Support to review the QuickBooks Online subscription issue.
